Aaron Higgins is a multidisciplinary artist living in South Bend, Indiana. He holds a BFA in painting and an MFA in digital art from the Henry Radford Hope School of Fine Arts (now the Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design), Indiana University, in his hometown of Bloomington.

His work abstracts lens-based and observed source material into experiences rather than representations — video paintings, interactive installations, and, currently, browser-native generative works: a collaborative painting unmade by time, color fields mixed by pigment physics, portraits painted continuously by a camera. The observational painting practice runs alongside, and underneath, all of it.

He has exhibited nationally and internationally — Chicago, Houston, New York, Portland, Beijing, Taipei, Seoul — and taught digital media for nearly two decades at The University of Tulsa and Indiana University South Bend. His work is held in the collection of the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Eye Institute, Indianapolis.
